Here’s everything Figma launched at Figma Config 2025!
“In a world where software is growing exponentially, design is a differentiator that will make great companies and products stand out,” – Dylan Field, Figma’s CEO and Co-founder at Figma Config 2025.
The annual Figma conference is here, and we’re all excited for the latest updates and improvements the design company will release. This year, Figma Config returned to San Francisco on 6 - 8th May, welcoming over 8,500 members from the Figma community – and so many more online.
Similar to the Figma Config 2024, Dylan Field went on stage and announced what the company has in store for us for the next year. So, during the Figma Product Launch Keynote, the Figma CEO presented four new Figma products, and other capabilities and features to Figma design.
Did you catch them all? Check out what happened at Figma Config 2025.
Figma Sites – The Next Webflow and Framer?
One of the biggest announcements that left everyone mindblown was the introduction of Figma Sites. This product will allow everyone to design, build, publish, and manage websites – all within Figma.
It seems like this will be in direct competition with Webflow and Framer – two major players in the no-code/low-code space. But what might make these companies sweat is that with Figma sites, we don’t have to export designs to another platform anymore. We can instantly create a live website entirely inside Figma’s ecosystem.
Figma Sites will also come with a built-in content management system (CMS) and the possibility to create unlimited interactive elements. These powerful features are made extremely intuitive and easy to work with through AI-assisted design and code.
This new Figma product will be available for use in Full Seat.
Figma Make – An Updated Figma AI
Let’s face it! Everyone has been waiting for Figma to take its Figma AI features to the next level. And as of today, it’s finally there - Figma Make!
Last year at the Figma Config 2024, it was introduced the possibility of generating design prototypes. But this year, Dylan Field launched at the Figma Config 2025, an AI-powered tool that transforms your prompts or existing designs into fully functional apps or interactive prototypes.
You have an idea of an app that you want to develop? Now, you can make with Figma everything you want (pun intended).
Figma Make is rolling out for use to Full Seats, but it may apply certain usage limitations.

Figma Draw – Vector Editing Tool
Figma has always been mostly about creating app and website elements, and not so much about vector editing. But the newest product released at the Figma Config 2025 – Figma Draw – changed that!
Figma Draw is an advanced illustration tool to help you create icons, illustrations, and complex vectors for higher-craft designs. Now, we can paint, use custom brushes, create dynamic patterns, build progressive gradients, add text curves, – and the list just goes on. And the best thing? It’s all SVG, so that we can easily manage these elements in Design Mode or Dev Mode.
Will this affect Adobe Illustrator in any way? Only time will tell. For now, Figma Draw is fully available in Full Seat.
Figma Buzz – Perfect for Non-Designers
The last product that was released today at the Figma conference is Figma Buzz. As we can see, Figma is trying to expand its reach beyond just designers, making the platform accessible to everyone. And now, they have developed a tool perfect for marketing and branding teams.
Figma Buzz allows us to create visual assets using integrated AI capabilities. From social media posts to display ads, posters, and so many more, non-designers can easily use Figma for their projects to maintain brand consistency. It seems that Figma wants to be a competitor with everyone, including Canva.
The new Figma tool is now available to everyone on all seats, while it’s still in beta testing.
Other Figma Updates and Improvements
Besides the release of these new products, Figma Config 2025 also brought us new updates to its core products – Figma Design, Dev Mode, and FigJam.
Figma Grid. This is a really exciting new capability as it gives us the possibility to develop responsive layouts with the new auto-layout option. This feature came after the Bento Grid trend came to life, and more and more designers and developers started implementing it. Now, it can also generate the CSS code more easily in Dev Mode.
At the same time, Figma AI has also been a topic that has been discussed a lot at the Figma Config 2025. It offers even more editing and image generation features, and the introduction of AI for FigJam.

Aaand that’s a wrap!
As Figma Config 2025 is slowly coming to an end, we can be sure of one thing: Figma is clearly aiming to build an all-in-one product design platform – Design Mode, Dev Mode, Figma Slides, FigJam, Figma Draw, Figma Sites, and Figma Buzz. Everything for everyone!
But stay tuned as Figma is also coming to London for an additional event during their Figma Config 2025 edition on May 14, 2025.
